I am Not Lost

Call Me Stray

I wanted my first blog to be something meaningful, but an introduction seems important too.  Call me Stray.  Not because I get lost no matter where I’m going, although I do, but because I have been wandering for many years now.  What do I mean by wandering?  I mean that I have expanded my horizons, nothing more.  I will try anything once, usually out of the optimism that it might be good.  And it sometimes is.  Being a wanderer just means facing life’s changes without flinching.  I started cooking for myself lately, which means adding stuff to Ramen Soup.  It’s usually bad, but I’m too poor to waste even a $.15 pack of noodles.

Despite my abject poverty, I have 2 rats.  Justin and Cloud.  Cloud is named after FFVII’s major hero and Justin is named after the heroic and handsome gray rat from Mrs. Frisby and the Rats of N.I.M.H.  If I had known they were going to fight so much, I would have named him Sephiroth instead.

My much-beloved (if horrendously low-paying) job is ending soon, but my new job will come with added benefits!  Not health insurance or dental, or gas money or free lunch or anything…but mental benefits.  I will get to learn a great deal working in a geologist paradise and make 1% commission on sales.  Every rock candy I sell will get me $.01!  The commute will be anywhere from 45 minutes to 2 hours depending on traffic, and I’m excited about downloading iTunes and buying a great deal of music to help me through the trip.

I am an atheist.  I am a libertarian.  I am egalitarian.  I am angry.  Call me Stray.

It’s very nice to meet all of you.
